For the second week in a row, the best game is saved for last. It’s a big game because first, it’s a rivalry and second, Manchester United’s Manager Jose Mourinho will be returning to his former team for the first time.

Mourinho has had a long history with Chelsea. They’ve won a few EPL titles together. But, last year, Chelsea had a bad start and he decided to leave in December. Knowing the type of person Mourinho is, he has been looking forward for this game for awhile.

Manchester is in mid week form. They recently defeated Fenerbahce 4-1 at Old Trafford. On Monday, Mourinho made a huge game, tough to watch. He played spoiler and got away with a point. Both teams are familiar with each other, which automatically means it will be low scoring. Both teams know their opponents tactics. I don’t think Mourinho can get away with another spoiler. Different teams, different results.

In their last 3 meetings at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has won 2 matches, while tying in one. Chelsea averaged 1.66 goals in those 3 games, while, Manchester averaged 0.66.

Both clubs are currently outside of the top four. With a win today, Chelsea could see themselves in a Champions League position.

Last week against Liverpool, Manchester was able to control Sturridge and Liverpool’s frontline. Sturridge struggled to make any impact during the game. This game Mourinho will have to deal with Diego Costa and Eden Hazard. Costa has scored 7 goals so far, and will be excited to play today. Both of them playing together will be tough for Manchester to handle. They would also love to show up their former maanger.

Chelsea will be without Cesc Fabregas who is sidelined with a thigh injury. Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry are out as well.

I can’t see Manchester United winning today’s game. The most I see is a tie for them. Chelsea has history on their side and I like all of the players to be up for this game against the former manager. According to odds, if Chelsea wins, they will most likely win 1-0.

Prediction: Chelsea wins 1-0 @ home
